How to stop the hair loss?
Hair loss is one of the most common problems worldwide and affects as many as a third of the population. However, we need to know that this is a natural phenomenon and we do not need to worry if a few hair follicles fall off daily. It is completely natural to lose up to 100 hair follicles per day. Many people struggle with excessive hair loss, but there are not enough effective solutions. Our solution is natural.
We have prepared some tips on how to stop hair loss with the help of nature.
Causes of hair loss in women and men
There are many types of hair loss, so finding its causes is a real challenge. Mainly hair loss is not related to systemic or internal disease and even poor nutrition is not a common factor. Hair can easily thin as a result of pre-determined genetic factors and the entire aging process. Many men and women may notice a mild physiological thinning of the hair that begins as early as the 30s and 40s. Life inconveniences, including illness, emotional trauma, hormonal changes such as pregnancy, puberty and menopause, can cause hair loss, as well as several medical conditions, including thyroid disease, iron deficiency and secondary syphilis. If you notice excessive hair loss, which is not normal, we recommended you to consult a specialist or visit a doctor.
The most common diet-related causes of hair loss are zinc and iron deficiency. Due to the lack of these minerals, hair is thinning and falls out, nails are also brittle, fatigue occurs and we can be more susceptible to various infections. But many research show that insufficient intake of vitamins and nutrients, such as biotin, vitamin C, lipids, vitamin D, vitamin B-12, vitamin A, copper, selenium, can cause hair loss.
Most common causes of hair loss are:
- age (most common reason)
- genetics
- hormonal disbalance
- seasons
- lack of nutrients (changes in eating habits, diet…)
- unhealthy lifestyle
- stress
- skin diseases (sometimes as a result of mycosis).
How to prevent hair loss?
Healthy hair growth should not be taken for granted. Hair loss or growth disorders affect many. To some extent, hair loss is a normal phenomena – especially during the transition periods, autumn and spring. We do not need expensive treatments or artificial products to prevent it, natural help is all we need against hair loss, hair rejuvenation and its health.
Extra care for our hair. Classic care, with shampoo and conditioner, will probably not be enough. Dried and damaged hair needs additional care, which can be provided in a simple and natural way, without expensive visits to beauty and hair salons.
Use coconut or cocoa butter, which besides fatty acids also contain vitamins and minerals that nourish and moisturize the hair. Thus, you may use them in several ways.
Hair mask: Apply melted coconut or cocoa butter to wet hair (cocoa butter hardens at around 25 degrees, so be careful not to harden on the hair, as it is difficult to remove), leave the mask on the hair for 20-30 minutes, then wash your hair with shampoo.
Hair conditioner: After shampooing, apply a small amount of melted butter on the hair and leave on for 2-3 minutes. Wash with warm water.
Hair care oil: Coconut oil contains mainly medium chain fatty acids and can penetrate deep into the hair and moisturize it. Spread few drops in between your palms and apply to the dry tips.
Scalp massage is one of the best hair growth treatments.
What do we need for a scalp massage?
Warm up the coconut oil in the microwave, let it cool a bit, add a few drops of rosemary essential oil, apply it on your hair and scalp and gently massage for 5 minutes. Then wrap your hair in a wet towel previously dipped in hot water and leave on your hair for at least 10 minutes. Then, brush the hair and wash it well. If we pamper our hair at least once in a week, it will be thicker, shiny and will grow faster.
Proper nutrition and drinking enough fluids
We all know that a good and healthy diet affects the appearance of our skin and it is not surprising that it affects our hair as well. If we want faster growing hair, it is important to get enough protein (fish, nuts, eggs) into the body. Vitamins are also important – vitamins A, C and E, as well as B vitamins and iron, as these support the hair growth and its health.
Water is crucial for the normal functioning of the body as well as for the hair. We need at least 1 litre per 25 kg of body weight per day, and if we are active or live in hot and humid environments, we need a little more. To really consume enough of it, make sure to always bring a bottle of water with you.
